A collection by Thom Browne was shown at Hôtel de Crillon on Sunday night. The models, some of whom sported spiky hairdos, strutted down the catwalk in tweed outfits. It was probably an homage to Chanel, as well as to Browne’s creativity: the fabrics were developed in France specifically for the brand, and many were edging sequins or adorned with tiny white tufts, like bits of Peter Cottontail’s nether regions.

The show wasn’t particularly Chanel but more of an homage to French couture shows. Tweeds are what come to mind when I think of couture and France.
